But What About "SHOOTING ABORTIONISTS" and "BOMBING CLINICS"???

By Pamela Rae Schuffert presenting investigative journalism from a Biblical Christian perspective-

My personal and Biblically based comments on this subject of "VIOLENT RESISTANCE AGAINST ABORTION IN AMERICA TODAY."

Often in pro-life circles, various moral, spiritual and ethical subjects are inevitably discussed in private. "How do you feel about using violence to accomplish pro-life goals?" Are abortionists "killers?" And if so, how should they be stopped. Are abortion clinics "death camps?" And if so, shouldn't they be destroyed or closed permanently, even by violent means?

These questions all come up in the many discussion and debates held among Christian pro-lifers over the volatile subject of ABORTION.

I should know, because I was involved in the battle for the life of the unborn under OPERATION RESCUE  for four years. I worked under founder RANDALL TERRY and co-leader JOSEPH FOREMAN during this time. (Randall Terry attended the same Bible College in NY that I once did.)I travelled to many states and abortion clinics during these four years, also working with Father Norm's Weslin's ecumenical LAMBS OF CHRIST to rescue the unborn.

Deep and troubling questions would arise in my heart at times regarding the issues surrounding the unborn child and abortion. Subsequently, I spent many hours over a long period of time in deep prayer and researching the Word of God to find answers to deeply troubling questions.

On the subject of using violence to battle abortion, specifically "killing abortionists" and "bombing clinics," here are my prayerful, and I believe Biblical based, personal conclusions.

On the subject of "shooting abortionists" to end abortion, I make the following statements based on the Word of God, and Biblical precedents.

First of all, nowhere in the Bible does it declare that God has made me "judge, jury and executioner" of THE SINNER.

Is abortion a SIN? I believe it is, from the Bible's definition. It is murder of the most innocent of the innocent. It is the shedding of innocent blood in our nation. It is also defined as taking a money bribe or reward to slay an innocent victim. The Bible states in the book of Revelation that all murderers shall have their part in eternal damnation, EXCEPT they repent and stop.

Does this therefore make all abortionists SINNERS in the sight of God and His Word? Yes.

However, the other side of this issue is, JESUS CHRIST CAME INTO THE WORLD TO SAVE SINNERS. This is a statement made by Paul the Apostle. The Bible clearly states to those of us who are Christians, that God showed His love to us while we were yet sinners, and sent His Son Jesus Christ into the world to save sinners. This means ALL sinners. And that includes ABORTIONISTS as well...doesn't it???

I have been a born again Christian for forty years now. I once was very lost, looking for God in the dark world of the occult and alternate, false religions. And yet, the Bible declares that God loved me in my sinful state, and finally drew me by His love to the feet of Jesus Christ for forgiveness and wondrous salvation at last. He pleaded with me for many years patiently before I finally came to repentance and salvation. The long suffering of God with sinners becomes their salvation as many finally turn to Him.

But where would I be today, if someone who did not like my involvement in  the occult, had killed me because I was " in sin?" I would be spending eternity in eternal damnation, separated from a Holy God because of my sins! And this is NOT the will of God! the Bible clearly states that God does not want ANY to perish eternally, but rather for ALL to come to repentance and salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ!

The Apostle Paul (previously called Saul before his conversion), once a persecutor and torturer and murderer of Christians BEFORE being apprehended by Jesus Christ, declared, "Jesus Christ came into the world to SAVE SINNERS, of whom I AM CHIEF!" Jesus Himself declared, "I have not come into the world to DESTROY men's lives, but to SAVE them..." "For the Son of Man is come to seek and to SAVE that which was lost..."

Saul's bloody  and violent deeds of arresting Christians, frequently having them imprisoned and tortured for their faith, and some even dying because of his actions, surely would have been worthy of righteous men rising up and executing him! He was a murderer of the innocent! A torturer! A shedder of innocent blood! And yet, Jesus Christ Himself apprehended this man Saul, later called PAUL, brought him to repentance and then used Him for His glory for many decades!

Stephen, the martyr of Jesus Christ for his witness, died at Saul's feet while being stoned. Saul fully approved of Stephen's death at that time. Yet Stephen cried out as he lay dying, "Lord, lay not this sin to their charge!" He prayed for this murderer's FORGIVENESS!

"VENGEANCE IS MINE, SAITH THE LORD. I WILL REPAY!" The Bible declares, "Beloved, avenge not yourselves..." Jesus commands us to PRAY for our enemies, FORGIVE THEM, and be merciful to them. In this manner many are ultimately  won to Jesus Christ!

I personally have had to do this many times in my life. I have been previously targeted for abduction and torture and death at the brutal hands of satanists in NC. In fact, I have been stalked across America. I have had personal possessions stolen by my enemies, including my laptop computer used for my work. I have been warned by both CIA and FBI that I am a woman marked for death because of my reporting.

But what has been my response throughout the years?  If I consider myself a true disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, there can be only ONE response: HIS.

"Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." I have chosen to follow the commands of Jesus Christ, to forgive these people, to pray for their salvation continually, many of them by name even within the CIA. For Jesus Christ died for each and every ONE of them to be FORGIVEN and SAVED.

In fact, while being stalked, I even carried a handgun for self-defense, until finally the Holy Spirit told me to PUT IT AWAY. (This was when the satanists were stalking me in NC as I ministered to their victims.) The Holy Spirit told me, "For every bullet you could fire in self defense they could fire a hundred. Unless your trust is fully in me, they will kill you. Furthermore, I died on the cross for THEIR sins to be forgiven also. Pray for their salvation and forgiveness." And I did.

I sold my gun for half price and obeyed God's Voice. And I remain alive to this day. And some of these very satanists have come to Jesus Christ through such prayers, are now serving God and have repented of their former evil ways!

As a Christian evangelist, I also realized, that if I died, I went to heaven. But if they died in my act of self defense, they would perish eternally. I finally concluded I could not witness the love and mercy and salvation of Jesus Christ to anyone down the barrel of a 9 mm gun!

And it is my deep passion to bring as many souls to salvation through Jesus Christ as I can in my lifetime. It is also my deep passion to see the UNBORN CHILDREN saved from the horrors of death by ABORTION.

DO I love the unborn child? Yes and I have proven it throughout many years of dedicated Christian pro-life action and outreach, saving many unborn children. I have gone to both jail and prison to save the unborn child. My heart is sickened and deeply saddened continually by awareness of the many abortions being carried out daily in our nation.

However, my pro-life actions were always non-violent and peaceful, being mindful of the life of the unborn child, AND mindful the eternal souls of those participating in the tragic acts of abortion, people for whom Jesus Christ also died to redeem from the curse of sin.

None of these issues surrounding ABORTION have easy answers. But I am convinced by the Word of God that killing the adversary is not the  acceptable answer either.

Regarding "BOMBING ABORTION CLINICS" as a productive means to ending abortion, common sense should indicate that such actions will never bring an end to abortions. Bomb one clinic, and the women determined to have an abortion will find ANOTHER clinic and ANOTHER abortionist to perform their abortions.

And once violence is justified in using to stop one vice, when will the violence ever stop? What about bombing pornographic book stores? Pornography is SIN. What about bombing houses of prostitution? Prostitution is SIN. What about bombing gay or lesbian bars? Homosexuality and lesbianism are all defined as SIN in the Bible! There is SIN everywhere in the world, and throughout America...even into the White House itself!

But again, is "shooting the sinner" or "bombing the facility used for sin" the Biblical response? No. And wherever I percieve there to be sin, I then spend much time praying for the salvation of those involved. I also take the time to witness God's love and salvation through Jesus Christ to them as well, whenever possible.

There is much sin in America. I pray against it every single day. But did Jesus Christ ever use violence to try and stop sin in His day? No. Instead, He countered SIN with THE WORD OF GOD. He countered sin with HIS DEATH ON THE CROSS for all sinners.

As He was dying on the cross for the sins of the world, He uttered those immortal words, "Father, FORGIVE THEM...for they know NOT what they do!"And we as Christians are called to be imitators of Jesus Christ, using what HE declares to be effective against sin and it's roots.

As a Christian, I am called to be His disciple, and the disciple is not greater than the Master, even as Jesus Christ declared.

The above reasons, coming straight from the Word of God and much prayer and contemplation, are  why I do not consider "murdering abortionists" or "bombing clinics" to be Biblically acceptable or effective means of accomplishing our goals in the world of Christian Pro-life issues. I cannot go beyond THE WORD OF GOD or the example of Jesus Christ my Savior in forming my conclusions.

For those who would like to debate my conclusions with me, I will simply make one statement from the very Words of Jesus Christ: "If I have spoken evil (or wrong), then bear witness of it."But if in fact, I have formed my conclusions from the very words of Jesus Christ the Son of God Himself, then take the time to prayerfully reconsider.

May God give us all Biblically acceptable and truly productive means of ending the tragedy of ABORTION in our nation, and in the world today.
